- Judge Michael Villani ignored a plea agreement and sentenced Barry Levinson to 8 years in prison and $1.1 million in restitution. Levinson, who has the most bar complaints of any Nevada lawyer, was immediately taken into custody even though he was supposed to report to federal prison on August 21. [RJ]
- Judge Andrew Gordon dismissed a federal lawsuit against the school district by the parents of a girl who committed suicide due to bullying. [RJ]
